- Moving from preparation and planning to 'starting' the fundraise
- Before you start your fundraise you need the baseline of VC relationships and all of your material has to be prepared
- The milestones and/or fundraising story is in place
- You have a short- and long list of VCs to target during your fundraise
- You have identified ways of getting in touch with the various VCs
- Two ways of starting a fundraise:
- Smart reach outs to VCs to start the fundraise, playing on VC psychology
- Use a trigger event as a catalyst for the fundraising start (in particular if you have not hit your milestones)
